JSEI - Parking Announcement

PARKING

The Jules Stein (JS) parking lot reopened on Monday, March 4, 2013.

Patients who have been parking in the CHS parking structure during construction must now return to parking in the JS parking lot. When heading north on Westwood Boulevard, turn right into the Stein Plaza Driveway, and the entrance to the JS parking lot is located immediately to the right (see map below).

Please see the table below for parking rates. Patients pay upon exit, using either the parking pay station near the Doris Stein building (see location A on map), the pay station at the driveway to the CHS parking lot (location B on map) or the manned parking kiosk at the lot exit. If assistance is needed while using a parking pay station, please use the "call" buttons to reach a live operator. The parking kiosk will be staffed from 8 am-6 pm. Patients who pay at one of the parking pay stations have 15 minutes to exit the lot after payment; otherwise, there will be additional charges.

PATIENT DROP-OFF AREAS: The lower patient drop-off area labeled on the map (location C) is for the immediate loading and unloading of patients. If using the lower patient drop-off area, please be aware there is a 10-minute grace period to exit the lot at no charge.

Please note: the upper patient drop-off area in Stein Plaza (location D on map) should only be used by the following individuals:

Surgery Patients
Individuals using UCLA Patient Escort Services
"ACCESS" transit patients
Taxis

Vehicles will not be allowed to remain in the patient drop-off areas for longer than is necessary to drop off or pick up patients. If patients need to be escorted to their appointment, their vehicle should be parked in a designated parking space.
