Vision Rehabilitation

Vision rehabilitation can help those with limited residual vision to improve their quality of life. Training and assistive optical devices, from special magnifiers and large print reading materials to closed circuit television readers and talking or computerized devices, allow people with limited vision to continue with many of their favorite activities.

A macular degeneration support group co-sponsored by the Braille Institute meets monthly at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. Participants hear speakers, discuss tips and evaluate tools for dealing with poor eyesight.
