Patients with eye emergencies should proceed to the Emergency Department at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Urgent Care Walk-In Service
The University Ophthalmology Associates offers an urgent care walk-in service Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 11:00 am, and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons from 12:45 pm to 4:00 pm. At all other times, patients with urgent eye problems should contact the Emergency Department at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (see number above). 
  • The urgent care walk-in service is provided to manage urgent eye problems only. If your problem is not urgent, please make a scheduled appointment by calling (310) 825-3090. We will make every effort to schedule your appointment in a timely fashion.
  • Routine ophthalmologic care, including refraction for eyeglasses, will not be provided with this visit. If you require a new eyeglass prescription, please schedule a regular appointment by calling (310) 825-3090.
  • You will receive a bill for the services provided through the urgent care walk-in service.  If you have any questions regarding your insurance coverage, please feel free to discuss this with our staff prior to your visit.
