Private Insurance
The Jules Stein Eye Institute accepts many kinds of health insurance. Not all insurance policies cover all services, and many insurances require prior authorization or second opinions for specific treatments or surgeries. It is always best to check your medical benefits for the details of your coverage since you are responsible for payment of uncovered services.

Medicare
Most of our doctors accept Medicare assignment. We will gladly bill Medicare for your care. If you are a Medicare patient, you are responsible for any charges that Medicare does not pay such as deductibles and co-payments. It is against federal law for doctors to write off these balances. Additionally, you are responsible for any non-covered services such as refractions.
