Comprehensive Ophthalmology Review Course

Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA

This intensive course will be aimed toward residents, fellows, and practicing ophthalmologists and will review the clinical essentials of each subspecialty in ophthalmology. It will be a clinically oriented review concentrating on the epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of ophthalmologic disease. The course will cover the important clinical principles of ophthalmology and update any changes to the clinical protocol. It will be a review of the accepted clinical practice and will not cover research-related topics. Basic scientific mechanisms and research therapies will not be covered.

Aesthetic Eyelid and Orbitofacial Surgery: Options and Finesse

This two-day course features cadaver dissection demonstrating laser assisted upper eyelid blepharoplasty, lower eyelid blepharoplasty and endoscopic forehead lift surgery. Didactic education will cover the nuances of technique that are critical for achieving the elegant results demanded by today's sophisticated patients. A range of talks will be given covering aesthetic blepharoplasty, endoscopic forehead surgery, face lift surgery, and non-incisional techniques.
