Individuals with an interest in research in the vision sciences may obtain additional training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute. Predoctoral Fellows participate in laboratory research while working on their doctorate degree. Postdoctoral Fellows spend an additional one to three years in vision science research after obtaining the Ph.D. degree, prior to starting a career in academia or industry.
