Ophthalmologists with University faculty appointments volunteer their time and professional services, participating in the teaching, research and patient care programs of UCLA’s Department of Ophthalmology and Jules Stein Eye Institute. Volunteer clinical faculty serve as instructors and clinical specialists at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, Veterans Administration Medical Centers and UCLA – County Medical Centers throughout greater Los Angeles. They represent an important extension of the Jules Stein Eye Institute and a valuable resource for UCLA’s ophthalmology residency training program.
