The mission of the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology Association is to
garner the power of a widespread network of alumni and faculty to promote
the educational activities of the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology.

The Association: |

supports resident and fellow training through research grants and annual scientific
meetings
|
|
|
sponsors a reception at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting, allowing
alumni from around the world to renew friendships and meet the newest residents,
fellow and faculty |
|
|
funds the resident video library, a valuable resource for resident education that
is also available to all members of the Association |
|
|
provides younger graduates of the Institute's educational programs with the opportunity
to meet their predecessors and participate in the common goal of supporting those
programs |
