Through its faculty, staff and volunteers, the Jules Stein Eye
Institute engages in a broad spectrum of public service and outreach
activities. Faculty members serve as advisors, consultants and representatives
to a wide range of professional and community organizations and
associations. The JSEI Affiliates, a network of volunteers, conducts
diverse and far-reaching programs to promote vision education and
patient care in schools and the community. The Institute’s
UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic delivers basic eye care services to the underprivileged
in Los Angeles and outlying areas.
